Brazilian football team has unveiled a new ball, which it will use in the upcoming games.
The new ball was developed with the cooperation of the Brazilian National Institute of Sports Science and the National Confederation of Athletic Associations (CONA) to reduce the weight of the ball and to enhance the quality of play.
“With the ball, the Brazilian team will have a new way to play football, because we have to learn and improve,” defender Marcelo Bielsa told a news conference on Thursday.
“I think it will be a great innovation for the players to play and also for the fans,” he added.
The Portuguese national team, which beat Argentina in the Copa América last month, also played with a new, lighter ball.
“We are all very happy about it, and we will try to do it,” midfielder Fernando Torres said.
“But at the moment, the ball is not as strong as we want.
The weight is too high,” Torres added.
